The Who Cares Clock

DESCRIPTION

“The Who Cares Clock” is a time-based print project released at random over an undetermined amount of time and available only through the mail. While there is no official end, there is a beginning. Our first essay is written by d.a. carter, who says of their piece “CPT is a conspiratorial performance. And we’re all in on it. Well, some of us are.”

 A “Who Cares?” clock is often gifted on the occasion of retirement, or to mark the “end of work.” What does it mean to give up, forget, or ignore linear time, and to acknowledge natural, personal or abstract time? How can we be free of the endless hours? Are we in end times, or are we just beginning? The clock asks us a sincere question.
